Dr. Matthew Fung
PT, DPT, CSCS, CERT-DN
BOARD CERTIFIED ORTHOPEDIC SPECIALIST (OCS)

Co-Owner and Physical Therapist

I have had the pleasure of working in the private practice outpatient world for the past five years before opening EndGame Physical Therapy with my wife Jen! Throughout my time as a physical therapist, I have worked with individuals spanning the lifespan with various degrees of injuries. More recently I have had the privilege of working with numerous adolescent and collegiate athletes recovering from sports injuries; specifically knee ligament injuries (ACL, meniscus, etc.) and shoulder injuries for overhead athletes (rotator cuff repairs, labral issues, subacromial pain). My focus has been on helping these athletes and motivated individuals to be better than when they first met me. I believe that through education and proper exercise technique and prescription, risk of injuries can be reduced.

I grew up not too far in Livingston NJ before moving up to Massachusetts for 7 years. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2015. I then earned my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in May of 2018. I was a part of the VOMPTI Orthopedic residency cohort in 2018 before becoming a Board Certified Specialist in Orthopedics in 2019.

When I am not in the clinic I enjoy spending time with my wife and doggies Xena and Barkley. If I am not in the clinic or with the family you can catch me on the basketball court or golf course!

Pelvic Floor Therapist

Co-Owner and Physical Therapist

Hello!
I’m Jen, Co-Owner and Physical Therapist here at EndGame Physical Therapy! My Husband, Matt, and I started EndGame PT with the goal of being able to work with people at all stages of life and help them with various injuries/goals to get back to the activities they love doing. After working in private practice orthopedic and sports settings for 6 years, Matt and I wanted to make more of a difference in people's lives without being limited by the typical physical therapy clinic model. That is why we give one on one care to our patients for no less than an hour per session. This model gives us the ability to slow down and take a deeper look into our patients and get them what they really need.

My Journey
I grew up in Edison, New Jersey with my Mom, Dad and younger brother. I started swimming competitively at a young age, and as a result of overtraining, as well as complications with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, I was forced to overcome a variety of Orthopedic injuries and numerous surgeries. This experience motivated me to become a Physical Therapist in order to help athletes and my fellow Ehlers-Danlos population avoid the same challenges that I have been faced with.

I started my journey to becoming a Physical Therapist at Rider University where I graduated in 2013 with a B.S. degree in Biology. I continued my education at MCPHS University (Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Science) where I graduated in 2017 with my Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Because of my passion for Sports Orthopedics and my desire to be the best Physical Therapist for my patients, I completed a 1-year Orthopedic residency program with VOMPTI (Virginia Orthopedic and Manual Physical Therapy Institute) that I graduated from in August 2018. VOMPTI set me up for success when I sat for my Orthopedic Clinical Specialty exam in March 2019 and I am Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy. I most recently decided to mesh my Orthopedic skills with another specialty field in Pelvic floor dysfunction in order to help an additional population that is so often underserved and overlooked.

The Person Behind the Therapist
In my spare time, I enjoy being outside and participating in any and all water sports such as swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding. I also love hiking, rock climbing, snowboarding and I can even throw in an occasional golf day. More than anything - I love spending time with my husband, family, friends and my doggies, Xena and Barkley!

Meet Xena & Barkley, our PT Pups!
